When life hands you lemons…
“When life hands you lemons, make lemonade” – we’ve all heard this saying and it’s very compelling. Go, do something, make something, prosper.
But if that’s what everyone does, then how are you different? I guess it’s the USP (Unique selling point) of lemonade that I’m after. Why is my lemonade different from the guy next door? Maybe I use more sugar, or a sprig of mint.
If all you do is make lemonade the same as everyone else and the same as you did before, we just get 1000 identical batches of lemonade. Then what? You’ve got sweet watery lemon juice by the gallon.
“When life hands you lemons, re-think the way you make lemonade” is my new slogan. It’s akin to T. Harv Eker asking during his training (and other people) – “You’ve always done it that way… how’s that working out for you?”
Great, fine make lemonade, but if you make the same lemonade as last time, “How’s that working out for you?” New batch of lemons.
Find a unique spin on things. Try something different, break your routines. You never know what’s around that next corner. Be open, be prepared. Your next glass of lemonade could be Coca-Cola.
A Dearth of Good Help
Vancouver, BC is experiencing a boom. I think.
There’s a job center under my day-job office and when they have a job fair, they get hundreds of people lined up. I’m trying to hire a good customer service / call-center / data entry person, but can’t find anyone good. They all lack experience or skills or personality. And then there are the people who book an interview and just plain don’t show up or call or anything. Poof. Why is it so hard to find good help in Vancouver?
One theory is there’s very low unemployment and lots of jobs to choose from. That would certainly explain it (it doesn’t explain the rude behavior of missed interviews.)
Affiliate marketers tend to work alone and online and use some invisible support system. We support each other. You can run an “online empire” from your bachelor apartment and nobody is the wiser. Or you can outsource your work and look like a massive company.
Either way, good employees, mentors, co-workers, bosses and jobs are hard to find here. Everyone should move to Vancouver and come work for my day-job company if you’re a CSR or ASP programmer.
Seriously.
Computer Basics 101
As part of my day job, I provide client support for an internet based company. Makes sense right?
All too often, we get on the phone with clients who don’t have even the most basic concept of simple computer tasks. How to cut and paste for example. It’s simple, saves you time and energy and comes in VERY useful in a variety of situations.
At one time, several computer stores offered beginner classes to everyone who bought computers. What ever happened to that? It’s a great service. If I was buying a product that was going to cost me nearly $1000 and is complicated to use, then I would sure appreciate some hands-on introduction to at least get me going.
These days, a lot of people are buying their second, third or more computer (upgrading) so they may not be interested, but there are still a lot of people buying their first computer ever who would benefit from the added support and introduction. Seniors and baby-boomers mostly, and this will become something that’s much less needed 10-20 years from now, but is a valuable service that would boost the value of shopping at a particular store.
Brand High Quality Viral Reports Free
When I saw “Free High Quality Reports”, my first
thought was “Yeah, sure. Free AND High Quality!”
But I joined. Why not – it’s free.
I joined with healthy skepticism. I am usually pretty critical of the free
content you find out there.
However, I soon found my skepticism melting away. In fact, I was quite
pleasantly surprised by what I found.

First, I have to say that this site is pretty ingenious when you think about it.
Branded, high quality reports you get to give away – and make money from.
When I actually checkout out a few of the reports, I found that they were much
more than just “thrown together trash”. In fact, quite the opposite.
Along with the reports supplied by the staff writers of the site, members can
also contribute their own reports. As a free member, you can contribute one of
your original reports every month.
After a while, once you have contributed a few reports, you will see how viral
this concept really is.
I’ve seen an increase in my traffic, as well as seen my own credibility as an
expert shoot through the roof.
My advice to you is simple. Join. Now. Why wouldn’t you?
